Light a Candle
Eugene Poulin “Shortz” died on October 26, 2015 in West Covina, CA at the age of 49. He was born on June 7, 1966 in Oakland to Adrien and Claudia Poulin. He was one of 3 children; the only boy and the youngest child. He grew up in San Leandro, CA. He was an alum of Kennedy and Garfield Elementary, John Muir Middle School and Pacific/San Leandro High School. After graduating, he went to work for Paper Kraft and Crown Zellerbach before landing his longest employment at Sysco Foods. He worked his way up through the organization and folks knew his as “Eugenious”. He worked in the Fremont facility for quite a few years before moving to Los Angeles facility. He never married, but adored his niece and nephews. He was that crazy uncle that would say inappropriate things to the kids and they’d all laugh. He had a dry sense of humor and very quick wit. Eugene is survived by his sisters, Danielle Rebello and Toni Poulin. He is also survived by his niece Amber Marshall and 3 nephews, Michael Rebello, Andrew Gurnack and Derek Gurnack. Eugene was a wonderful human being. He is and will be missed by many.
